What Happened In The Previous Episode?
The episode was titled “Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji” and kicked off with Mitsuri finally destroying the multi-headed dragon summoned by Hantengu’s final form, Zohakuten, thanks to her whip-like pink nichirin sword. Mitsuri rebuked Zohakuten as she saw Nezuko and Genya hurt and trapped.
Zohakuten is shocked and insults Mitsuri back, getting enough time to launch his clone and initiate his thunder attack. Tanjiro warns her at the last second, giving her enough time to get her focus on the attack and deflect it. With Mitsuri utilizing her speed and reflex abilities to the maximum, Tanjiro is amazed by her capabilities during the fight with the clone.
Mitsuri is blown away by a shockwave while she swiftly tries to cut Zohakuten’s head, causing Nezuko, still pressed, to enter a state of anger and tear off all her limbs to run towards Mitsuri, to find out that Mitsuri was not harmed as she stiffened her muscles just before the attack.
Zohakuten, taunting Mitsuri’s body and explaining how he will become more powerful after eating her, attempts to crush her skull. After a flashback right after this moment, we see Nezuko, Tanjiro, Genya and Mitsuri more motivated than ever.
Now, Mitsuri and the three junior demon slayers, are without hesitation on their way to take down Hantengu, and finally put this arc to an end.
