Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc final episode just finished airing, however, anime fans received a good news at the end of the episode. After the episode, it was announced that Swordsmith Village arc of the manga will be adapted as the 3rd season of Demon Slayer.

Season 3 Release Date
The production committee of Demon Slayer series have not announced the release date for season 3 yet. However, we will try and take a guess about the release date here.
The demon Slayer first season came out in April 2019. The 2nd season came out in October 2021. There was almost 2 year gap between the release of 1st and the 2nd season. Usually, a 12 episode season takes around 12 to 18 months for the total production process. Considering the quality of Demon Slayer animation, fans could expect a wait of 18 months to 2 years for season 3.
Demon Slayer season 3 is expected to release at the end of 2023 or early 2024.
Season 3 Story
Tanjiro goes to swordsmith village in order to repair his sword as Hotaru Haganezuka is tired of repairing it for Tanjiro. Upon arrival, he meets love hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, and the mist hasira, Muichiro Tokito. While Tanjiro is waiting for his sword to be repaired, enemies close in on the village.
For the first time in over 100 years, the upper ranks of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Twelve Kizuki are not full (all thanks to Tanjiro and his friends). Angered, Muzan dispatches the survivors on another mission.
