The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest manga has finally revealed the character designs for its main cast.
Fans of the Fairy Tail franchise have been eagerly waiting for this sequel series, which follows Natsu and his friends on a mission that has remained uncompleted for a century.
The official website has not only shared the character designs but also had previously announced the anime’s premiere date, set for July 2024.
In Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Gray Fullbuster, and Erza Scarlet embark on a perilous journey to defeat five dragon gods whose powers are said to rival or even surpass those of Acnologia, the formidable foe Natsu defeated in the original series.
The character designs showcase the iconic looks of the Fairy Tail gang, with Natsu’s spiky pink hair and confident grin, Lucy’s signature blonde hair and blue outfit, Happy’s adorable appearance, Gray’s cool demeanor, and Erza’s aura of strength and determination.
The anime adaptation will feature a studio change, with JC Staff taking over the reins from A-1 Pictures, who animated the original Fairy Tail series. However, fans can rest assured that the entire voice cast from the original anime will be reprising their roles in the sequel.
Tetsuya Kakihara, the voice of Natsu Dragneel, expressed his excitement, saying, “You said you’d definitely do it someday, but FAIRY TAIL is finally starting. Well then, let’s go on an adventure together again!”
Aya Hirano, who voices Lucy Heartfilia, shared her anticipation, stating, “Ever since it was announced that 100 Year Quest would be made into an anime, I’ve been looking forward to it! Finally, everyone can see Natsu and his friends’ new adventures.”
