Fan Edits How Mikasa Should Look Like!

Lets be honest, not everyone can agree on one thing. There will always be someone who disagree with the majority. Anime industry is also not different from this phenomenon.

With the change in Studio for the final season of Attack on Titan, many fans already had some doubts. Although Studio Mappa had done a great job on Jujutsu Kaisen but still Attack on Titan fans were afraid that time (1 year) given is too short for studio Mappa to animate the Attack on Titan.

Mappa have done a great Job in animating the series but still there were some moments where some fans were not satisfied with the animation. One of the most popular moments fans were looking forward to was Mikasa meeting Eren after 3 years and according to some fans, animation was not good enough to capture that moment.

Many fans edited Studio Mappa’s Mikasa to how it would look like if Studio Wit (Season 1-3) had animated it or how they would have liked her to look like. A twitter user @MellamanChe posted a fan art of Mikasa:

This art started a debate between the Attack on Titan community. Fans who support the Studio Mappa adaptation came to the rescue with an argument that Mikasa exactly looks like how she is drawn in the manga by Hajime Isayama. A twitter user posted a picture of Manga and Anime blend, showing that Mappa animation style looks exactly like Manga:

Although many fans supported Studio Mappa but there were some fans who agreed that animation does not look good. Some fans also said that Mikasa in that particular frame looks like a Jojo character.

  1. AOT is not your usual Shojou/Shonen anime where the characters don’t change their appearance in 3 years time. C’mon if you understand the plot, the setting, the conflict/argument in the story, you’ll see that that is the beffiting image of the characters. Stop Bashing the studio, they did the greatest in animating the scene. The animators did the right drawing of a very dark themed anime. The final season is at its peak, the story is very deep, thus the characters inhibit the same atmosphere. Try to watch anime with a smart literary criticism. If you only see the shallow part of the story(e.g. Animation and fight scenes only), then you don’t deserve to be called a FAN of any ANIME out there.
