Hayao Miyazaki Is Directing A New Ghibli Film

Hayao Miyazaki is out of retirement to direct a new ghibli film titled “How do you live?”.

Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese director and co-founder of Studio Ghibli film, he is known for many popular films including including Spirited Away, The Wind Rises, My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle.

On HBO Max release of “Earwig and the Witch”, Hayao Miyazaki Son, Goro Miyazaki said that his father retirement got so aimless that he “Needed to create something in order to live, basically”. Goro also revealed that “Hayao Miyazaki’s wife, who is also my mother, she used to say [to him], ‘I wish you would retire enjoy the rest of your life.’ But recently, she’s come to accept the fact that he cannot stop creating, so she knows that, so she’ll be like, ‘Okay, if you’d rather create until the end of your life, then go to the studio, go to the office everyday.’”

Release Date For The Film

Hayao Miyazaki next film is titled “How do you live?” and the release date is many years away. Studio Ghibli producer Suzuki revealed that production of the film could take another 3 years to complete as all the movie will be hand drawn.
