Horimiya Season 3: Everything You Need To Know

“Horimiya” is a fan-favorite rom-com anime series that has gotten the spotlight since its first season started airing in Winter 2021.

The second season, a compilation series titled “Horimiya -piece-” just ended with its 13th episode. Will we get season 3 for Horimiya? Here is everything we know so far.

Although Horimiya Piece was a compilation anime season, it still received the love of its fans and was one of the highest-rated sequels of Summer Season 2023.

“Horimiya” follows the story of Miyamura and Hori, two high school students who slowly progress in their romantic relationship and learn new things about each other every day.

This series was serialized between July 1, 2023, and September 23, 2023. The animation studio behind this series was “CloverWorks,” which is famous for anime like “My DressUp Darling” and “Bocchi The ROCK!”

Horimiya Season 3: Will it Happen?

“Horimiya Season 3” has not been officially announced. It is highly unlikely that we will see a new season of Horimiya because of the lack of source material. Let me explain why.

The anime is based on the manga series of the same name written by Hiroki Adachi (HERO) and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara. Manga completed its serialization with 16 volumes on March 18, 2021.

Horimiya Season 1 adapted almost all the volumes by skipping some manga content. That skipped manga content was then covered in Horimiya Piece (aka season 2).

The positive news is that the author of Horimiya has released volume 17 (bonus volume) titled “A Piece of Memories,” which contains some other stories that weren’t included till volume 16.

So there is a chance that we will get an OVA episode that will adapt all four chapters of volume 17.

The Manga series received an English Serialization from “Yen Press,” and all 17 volumes are available on Amazon.

Based on the information provided, Horimiya season 3 is unlikely to happen and will not have a release date.
