AI art is currently the new trend where different software lets you generate a piece of art even when you don’t have any knowledge of drawing. One of the recent additions to this long line of AI software is qq’s anime generator, also called “Different Dimension Me”.

The feature is developed by China, and it is not actually a separate app, but an add-on feature in QQ Tencent, an instant messaging app which is used in China. The anime ai instantly went viral because of how easy it is to use. You just have to take a selfie or upload an image of yourself and “Different Dimension Me” will do its magic and turn you into an anime character.
However, after a few days of launch, the feature was limited to China only as it started being misused. In addition, the anime ai doesn’t properly work on darker skin tones. Often changing the skin tone to white or worse, turning the character into something else.
Different Dimension Me is in the Chinese language which makes it harder to find on the internet easily. Even if you somehow find the exact address, you won’t be able to use the feature as it will show you the pop-up text “Service is being upgraded, please come back later”. This message is on display for a few days now and it doesn’t like look it will be resolved in the near future.
Luckily, we have found another method which lets you use the same “Different Dimension Me” feature and only a few people know about it.
