After a long wait of more than a year, Jujutsu Kaisen production committee has finally green-lit the 2nd season of the anime. It was teased last month that there will be an important announcement about Jujutsu Kaisen on February 12.
To commemorate the success of Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0, a thank you event was organized on Saturday where all the voice cast of Jujutsu Kaisen film was present. During the event, it was announced that the 2nd season of Jujutsu Kaisen anime will be released in 2023.
As far as the exact release month is concerned, it hasn’t been officially revealed yet. However, it is more than likely that the 2nd season will come out in Winter 2023 (which starts from December 2022). So, fans could expect Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 to be released in either Dec 2022, or January 2023.
Jujutsu Kaisen creator, Gege Akutami drew an illustration to commemorate the success of Jujutsu Kaisen film. Gege Akutami also thanked all the readers, viewers and the production committee.

Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is based on a manga of the same name, written and drawn by Gege Akutami. He started the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. Mappa Studio picked up the manga for the anime adaptation. A 24 episode anime series was aired in October 2020. A feature film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which is based on a prequel manga has been released in Japan. Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0 will be released in US on March 18.
