[Yuta Arrives!] Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 173 Spoilers & Release Date

Chapter 172 Recap

Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 173 let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent chapter of the series, titled, ‘Tokyo No.1, Colony 12.’

The latest chapter kicks us off with Reggie trying to think his way through Megumi’s domain as they both get weighed down with the additional weight on them. Though with all of his planning Reggie gets sucked into Megumi’s shadow and begins drowning. In a last-ditch effort, Reggie uses a car receipt to bring him out of the shadow and surprisingly it works!

This epic fight goes on for some time until Reggie drops a literal house on Megumi, knowing he can’t hold that Megumi lets go of his domain. The two both fall into the pool beneath the gym floor. Megumi sees another chance to kill Reggie and begins to hold him under the water. Knowing that to survive he also has to let go of his technique Reggie releases the cars from Megumi’s weight and the two both survive.

The fight goes on for even longer with both parties fighting to their max and trying to trick the other. However, it all comes to an end when one of Megumi’s divine dogs bites into Reggie from behind. Reggie starts to bleed out and as the chapter ends he mentions that jujutsu sorcerers are nothing but con artists. Now the real question is, is Reggie really dead or did he pull a con?

Chapter 173 Spoilers

Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 173. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.

Leaks and spoilers for the upcoming chapter are very limited but here is what we roughly know so far;

• Reggie gives his points to Megumi as he dies
• Takaba and Hazenoki are still fighting
• Kogane announces that Reggie has died and Hazenoki decides to leave
• Remi comes back and has a brief flashback scene
• Megumi chases Remi down before hallucinating and fainting from exhaustion
• Megumi hallucinates his sister Tsumiki
• Angel appeaks and states that the games are going splendidly

Aside from this, we know that this week’s chapter will introduce four new sorcerer characters with….interesting character designs. We also know that the chapter will end with Yuuta killing someone to steal away their points.

Release Date

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 173 is currently expected to release Sunday, January 30th, 2022. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of JJK will most likely stick to schedule and release on Sunday as usual.
