Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 Countdown
Here is the exact countdown to when Episode 8 will be released on streaming services:
Episode 8Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7 was titled “Evening Festival.” The episode starts with the continuation of the fight between Mechamaru and Mahito. Mechamaru aims to defeat both Mahito and Geto to reach Gojo and tell him about the Shibuya Incident that is about to occur.
Mechamaru has a gadget in his arsenal that messes with Mahito’s cursed soul and renders him unable to fight. He has four chances to attack Mahito with it. The first time he hits Mahito, Mahito gets minor damage and escapes.
The second time he tries, Mahito displays his Domain Expansion, titled “Self-Embodiment of Perfection.” This domain hits Mechamaru, and he is unable to move. Mahito declares himself the unofficial winner of this fight against Mechamaru.
Mechamaru could not even use his “Cursed Age” now because his giant robot had turned off. So, he used an ancient technique that protects people against others’ domain expansions. This technique is the “New Shadow Style: Simple Domain,” which is Miwa’s main fighting move.
Although this technique is pretty weak, inside someone’s domain expansion, it is assured to hit the user. So, Mechamaru uses the third chance to use his gadget and hits Mahito, who is now exorcised.

He then diverts his attention to Geto, as he has one chance left with his gadget and nine years of cursed energy. As soon as he is about to hit Geto, Mahito again comes back and kills Mechamaru despite him resisting with all his might.
At the end of the episode, all jujutsu sorcerers are positioned around Shibuya, and the civilians trapped inside Shibuya’s veil are made to call Gojo Satoru. There is no turning around because the Shibuya Arc has commenced, and no one, even the strongest, will be spared.
The author of Gege Akutami also couldn’t hold back and praised this masterclass of an episode.
