Jujutsu Kaisen, the popular anime adaptation of Gege Akutami’s manga series, has been praised for its stunning animation and thrilling action scenes. However, one of the most impressive sequences in the show was created by a young animator who is only 19 years old.
The scene in question is from episode 20 of the second season, titled “Right and Wrong Part 3”. It features a fierce battle between the protagonists Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo, and the special grade cursed spirit Mahito.
The episode showcases the duo’s teamwork and skills, as well as their unique cursed techniques. Todo’s technique, Boogie Woogie, allows him to swap the positions of any two objects or people with his cursed energy. In the final moments of the episode, Todo uses Black Flash against Mahtio.

The animation of this scene is fluid and dynamic, capturing the intensity and speed of the fight. The movements of the characters are smooth, and the effects are vivid and colorful. The scene also features some creative camera angles and transitions.
The animator behind this scene is Kouichi Akahiro, a 19-year-old animator. This information was shared by Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 20 director, Tokuno Yuji who had nothing but praises for the young animator. Tokuno took to X (formerly Twitter) “Mr. Akahiro, with his hyper and powerful style, is a 19-year-old animator.

Akahiro’s scene has become one of the most memorable and talked-about moments in the anime, and has earned him recognition and respect in the industry. Jujutsu Kaisen is lucky to have him on board, and we can’t wait to see more of his work in the future.
In case you haven’t already watched the series, Jujutsu Kaisen is available on Crunchyroll. The anime adaptation is based on Gege Akutami’s manga series of the same name.
The series follows the adventures of Yuji Itadori, a high school student who joins a secret organization of sorcerers that fight against cursed spirits. Along the way, he meets various allies and enemies and learns to master his own cursed technique.
