Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0 is just a few weeks away from being released in theatres all across Japan. The protagonist of the movie, Yuta Okkotsu will be getting a new story written and illustrated by Gege Akutami.
The new story is titled “Jujutsu Kaisen volume 0.5”, which will depict the early life of Yuta before the events of Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0. The 9 page story will center around the daily slice of life moments of Yuta, and the other first years, Maki, Panda and Inumaki.
Only first 5 million theatergoers will be able to get this limited edition short story. In addition to the short story, the package will also include storyboards of JJK 0 manga, Q&A with Akutami Gege, and comments from production staff.
Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0 is scheduled to be released on Dec 24, 2021, in theaters all across Japan. For international screening, fans will have to wait a while as there is no information announced yet.
Gege Akutami started Jujutsu Kaisen manga serialization in December 2019. So far, more than 160 chapters have been published. Previously, the author announced that they plan to end Jujutsu Kaisen manga till 2023.
A 24 episode anime adaptation by Mappa Studio aired from Oct 2020 to March 2021. There is still no confirmation of the 2nd season announcement yet. If you are reading the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the spoilers for chapter 167 are already out, which you can read here.
