Kaguya Sama: Love Is War 2 Dominates Japanese Box Office

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War second live action film that opened in Japanese cinema on August 20, ranked first on opening weekend at Japanese box office. In first 3 days, film earned 252 million yen and sold 195,000 tickets. In first five days after the release, film earned a total of 416 million yen.

In 2019, Kaguya Sama: Love Is War first live action film was released. First film earned 2.2 billion yen ($20.4 million) and sold 1.8 million tickets during its run.

Which Manga Arc Is Adapted In This Film?

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War 2nd live action film adapts “Sports Festival and Cultural Festival” arc, which are focused on Yu Ishigami and Tsubame Koyasu. These two arcs were also adapted in second anime season.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War Season 3?

In case you missed it, Official Twitter account of anime previously announced that Kaguya Sama will be getting a third season. Release date for season 3 have not been revealed yet.

FIrst season of the series was produced by A-1 pictures, which aired in Jan 2019. Second season aired in April 2020. Manga series is written by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 but it was later transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

Synopsis

In the senior high school division of Shuchiin Academy, the student council president and vice president, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, appear to be the perfect couple. Kaguya is the daughter of a wealthy conglomerate family, and Miyuki is the top student at the school and well-known across the prefecture. Although they like each other, they are too proud to confess their love, coming up with many schemes to make the other confess.
