Komi San Season 2 Could Be Released Early on Netflix

On February 25, the official website of Komi Can’t Communicate anime series announced that the 2nd season of the anime series will release in April, and according to recent leaks, Netflix fans could get season 2 on April 7.

In case you don’t know, Netflix has exclusive streaming rights for Komi Can’t Communicate. Season 1 of the series had a 2 week delay between the official broadcast in Japan, and the worldwide release on Netflix.

According to a popular leaker, Ryokutya, a leak from the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine suggest that the 2nd season of Komi San is scheduled to premiere on April 7 on Netflix Japan. However, the leak doesn’t specify whether the Netflix worldwide users will also get the new episode on April 7.

Netflix was previously criticized for a 2 week delay broadcast of Komi San season 1, as fans complained that it was not a true simulcast.

The leak also revealed new members of the voice cast:

  • Minami Takahashi as Sasaki Ayami.
  • Fumiko Uchimura as Katou Mikuni.
  • Katsuyuki Miura as Naruse Shisuto.
  • Shotaro Uzawa as Kometani Chusaku.

Komi Can’t Communicate anime series is based on a manga written by Tomohito Oda, who began publishing the manga in May 2016 through Shogukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday┬ámagazine.

Netflix describes the anime series as follows:

At a high school full of unique characters, Tadano helps his shy and unsociable classmate Komi reach her goal of making friends with 100 people.
