Naruto’s Upcoming New Episodes Have Been Delayed

In what comes as disappointing news to Naruto and Boruto fans alike, the much-anticipated new episodes of Naruto have been postponed.

The announcement has left the fan community in a state of eager anticipation but also understanding as the creators strive for quality.

Back in March 2023, the official Naruto anime website made an exciting announcement to mark the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Four brand new Naruto episodes were slated for release, aimed at revisiting some of the original series’ most iconic moments but with the new animation.

These episodes were scheduled for a four-week consecutive run starting September 3, 2023.

The delay comes at a time when the Boruto series is also not currently airing, although studio Pierrot has disclosed they are hard at work on part 2. As a result, both Naruto and Boruto fans had been eagerly awaiting the new Naruto episodes as a kind of solace.

According to the press statement, the decision to delay the episodes stems from a desire to improve the overall quality of this special project.

While an official new release date has not been provided, the creators assure that the information will be available on their official website and social media channels as soon as it’s decided.

Meanwhile, the original schedule will be filled with handpicked episodes from the “BORUTO: Naruto Next Generations” series.

Although fans may be disheartened, the delay promises to enhance the quality of the upcoming episodes. The creators have extended their apologies and are asking for fans’ understanding as they aim to meet everyone’s high expectations for this landmark anniversary celebration.
