Attack on Titan fans, and One Piece fans are reportedly rating 1-star to every new episode of both anime series on Imdb.
In case you don’t know, Imdb is one of the most popular website where you can find information about movies, anime, and TV shows. Imdb also has a rating system where a user can rate their favorite episode of the show from 1 to 10. But it seems like some anime fans are misusing this feature to spam a 1-star rating to One Piece and Attack on Titan newer episodes.
The new episode of One Piece titled “The Power of Ice Oni! A New Version of the Plague Rounds” currently holds the ratings of 6.1/10, where 1200 people rated it 1-star, as compared to 1500 fans who voted the episode 10/10.
On the opposite side, Attack on Titan is also not safe from getting 1-star review. As can be seen in the screenshot below, 1,600 users rated the episode 1/10.
Now, you might be wondering that why anime fans suddenly started review bombing each other’s favorite shows? Just 2 weeks ago, a Twitter user @ONEPIECE1 (5k followers) who calls himself a One Piece fan, asked his followers to rate 1-star to the new episode of Attack on Titan. Many of their followers rated Attack on Titan episode lower, and now Attack on Titan fans are review bombing One Piece anime series.
Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from the gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as Titans; the story follows Eren Yeager, who vows to exterminate the Titans after a Titan brings about the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother.
