Over the course of the past few weeks, there have been rumours about an Oshi No Ko anime being put into production. Without any official announcement, fans were unsure whether or not these leaks would be accurate or not.
However, all that doubt was dismissed earlier today when we got the official Oshi No Ko anime announcement. This announcement brings many things to discuss like the staff and studio behind the project and even a release date! What We Know
Seeing as how this is just an anime announcement we know very little as to where the anime currently is in terms of production. We do know that a studio has already been confirmed for the series and has begun production but as of yet, there is no release date available. All we have so far is the staff and a key visual which you can see just under this!
As for the studio behind the animation, it is confirmed that Studio Doga Kobo will be animating! With amazing animation on some of their notable series like Plastic Memories, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, and even Himouto! Umaru-chan, the Oshi No Ko series seems to be in good hands!
Synopsis
The manga itself is written by Aka Akasaka, who is also the mangaka behind, the hit series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War! The series is drawn by Mengo Yokoyari and published by Shueisha, the Oshi no Ko manga series began in 2020 and will release its eighth volume on June 17, 2022. It is currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump and published under the Young Jump Comics label.
