Kazuya Kinoshita is a 20-year-old college student with a wonderful girlfriend: the bright and sunny Mami Nanami. But suddenly, Without warning, Mami breaks up with him, leaving him utterly heartbroken and lonely.
Kazuya finds an app that provides rental girlfriends at a specific price to subside his loneliness and decides to book Mizuhara as a rental girlfriend for an hour. After meeting her, Kazuya falls in love with her.
Unfortunately, Mizuhara is also enrolled in the same university as him, while both try not to make contact. His ex-girlfriend finds out about Mizuhara being a rental girlfriend and suggests she stay away from her.
The surprises doesn’t end her he later finds out that Mizuhara lives next door to him. What do you think will happen to their relationship?
Episode 9 Recap:
In the previous episode, Kazuya’s grandmother insisted on having a combined birthday party for him and Chizuru after she found out that Mizuhara’s birthday was a few days ago and saw this as an opportunity to make Chizuru and Kazuya closer under her assumption that they are dating.
Due to her critical condition, both of them decide to hide the fact that they are not dating. Not to forget that both of their grandmothers are good friends.
On the other hand, Rukia views this as an excellent chance to improve her reputation in front of his family and decides to tag along with him. She later realizes that Kazuya has already invited Mizuhara to his party.
After they arrive at his home, Rukia starts helping them out to become their favourite and claim that spot from Mizuhara, who is their current favourite girl.

Rukia was about, to tell the truth, but Mizuhara made a late entry to the party, spoiling her plans. Everybody forgot about Rukia and started focusing on her as soon as she arrived. After seeing the reaction from the family, Rukia decides to use the washroom.
While Kazuya decides to lighten her mood and decides to talk to her once she is out of the washroom, to his surprise Rukia chooses to make a bold move and kisses him.
