Sweet Reincarnation anime series started airing on July 4, 2023, with its first episode on Crunchyroll. The series ended with its twelfth episode on September 11, 2023.
The series was supposed to end on September 19, 2023, but the final episode was aired a week earlier on select services like Crunchyroll. This anime series was animated by the animation studio “SynergySP,” who have also animated Girlfriend Girlfriend anime.
Is Sweet Reincarnation Season 2 Confirmed?
Season 2 of “Sweet Reincarnation” has not been confirmed. Neither the anime production committee, the animation studio, nor Crunchyroll has given any updates on Sweet Reincarnation season 2.
Popular anime shows get a sequel announcement either after the last episode or a few days or weeks after the previous season completes its airing.
Unfortunately, “Sweet Reincarnation” isn’t that popular among fans, as it didn’t make it to the top 10 highest-rated anime this season.

What are the chances of Sweet Reincarnation Season 2?
One of the primary goals behind an anime adaptation is to increase the sales of manga and light novels. The anime series does not make much profit, and if the sale of source material doesn’t increase because of the anime, the chances of a sequel decrease exponentially.
Sweet Reincarnation source material is a light novel of the same name. Unfortunately, the light novel didn’t make it to the Oricon’s Top 10 Most Sold Light Novels from August. Meaning Sweet Reincarnation light novel sales didn’t increase that much to guarantee a sequel to the isekai anime.
However, sales of the source are not the only factor in canceling or renewing an anime series. Another goal of an anime adaptation is for the animation studio to earn good from it. The primary source of earnings for studios is from the official Blu-ray sales.
“Sweet Reincarnation” will go on sale later this year as a single Blu-ray & DVD BOX set on December 22, 2023. So, if the Blu-ray sales do good, a sequel might be possible.
How did the Sweet Reincarnation do Rating Wise?
The popularity of Sweet Reincarnation anime has been average as a whole. The isekai anime series has a rating of 6.6/10 on MyAnimeList, 7/10 on IMDB, and 6.4/10 on AniList. On a Weekly Ranking list on AniTrendz, the series only managed to climb to 25th place as its best position.
But “Sweet Reincarnation” was pretty popular among isekai fans. So, there might still be a silver lining for a sequel to this series.
Is There Enough Source Material Sweet Reincarnation Season 2?
“Sweet Reincarnation” is based on a light novel of the same name, written by Nozomu Koryu. So far, 24 volumes have been released, only in Japanese. So, fortunately, there is more than enough source material if the anime production committee decides to produce season 2.
The light novel has also received a manga adaptation with ten volumes, illustrated by Seriko Iida. These volumes are also serialized in English so that you can buy them on Amazon in Kindle Edition.
Unfortunately, unlike the manga, the light novel hasn’t been serialized in English. You can start reading the Sweet Reincarnation manga after chapter 20 if you can’t wait for season 2.

Additionally, the animation studio of “Sweet Reincarnation” is busy working on projects like “Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2” and other projects. So, a Season 2 for this anime might be brutal for the production team to manage.

As discussed earlier, Sweet Reincarnation season 2 is yet to be greenlit. Typically, a 12-episode anime takes 12 to 18 months from storyboarding, voice acting, animation, and getting everything ready.
If Sweet Reincarnation sequel gets announced, fans can expect season 2 to release in late 2024 or early 2025.

“Sweet Reincarnation” follows the story of Pastry Mille Morteln, the protagonist of this series. He was a genius patissier in his previous life who died while lifting his masterpiece desert. He reincarnated as a baby in this new world into the family of a poor noble.
He started to build his father’s land as soon as he could walk. He created links through his knowledge of sweets from his previous life, making his family richer. All this was for Pastry to make new sweets every day he lived in this new world.
