After that teaser of a chapter last week Tokyo Revengers is back and ready to blow us away with this week’s chapter. As many predicted, (including myself) Mitsuya does indeed pull a stunt at his fashion show in his own way of remembering Draken. As to what he does, while lets find out below!

Chapter 238 Recap
Before we jump into chapter 239’s spoilers, let’s do a quick recap of what went down in chapter 238, titled, ‘Really Into It.’
After recruiting Inupi last chapter Thousand Winters (TW) has unanimously decided, they need an advisor. One with taste for obvious reasons. Of course with a criteria like that there’s only one choice on who this new member could be, Takashi Mitsuya, former Toman 2nd division captain! But weirdly when they arrive at Mitsuya’s place his younger sister answers the door, telling Takemitchi and friends that her big bro is in a pinch.
Inside their apartment Runa, Mitsuya’s younger sister explains that Mitsuya is currently working like crazy for his upcoming design competition. In fact he’s been locked up in his room ever since Draken died making new designs, getting frustrated, tossing them and starting again.
When he sees Takemitchy the two former captains decide to take their talk outside. On a nearby swingset, (with the other members of TW watching) Takemitchi explains his plan on how to take Mikey back but Mitsuya quickly shoots him down telling him about a recent talk him and Draken had before the latters death. In short Draken made Mitsuya promise to become the designer he aspires to be. For this reason Mitsuya cannot join Takemitchy’s new gang, a reason wich Micchi respects.
The chapter comes to a close as Takemitchi and his Thousand Winters team come to the venue where Mitsuya’s competition is being held.
Chapter 239 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 239, titled ‘Steal The Show’. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
Picking up right from where 238 left off in chapter 239 we see Takemitchi, Chifuyu, and Hakkai in the venue. Keep in mind this trio is in a fashion show with their hideuos thousand winters uniform. As each participant comes down the runway the trio, that all share one brain cell, are blown away.
But behind all the oohs and ahs are Mitsuya and Yasuda rushing around back stage. It seems Yasuda hands Mitsuya something to finish his outfit for the show. The add on was made by Yasuda and the sewing club as a thank you and also to support Mitsuya’s future. As Mitsuya’s turn approaches he thanks Yasuda one more time and rushes over to the stage just as the commenter announces the name of Mitsuya’s collection, “Twin Dragons.” As Mitsuya’s two models walk the cat walk everyone is amazed by Mitsuya’s beautiful work. As the showing ends Takemitchi tears up while whispering, “Draken are you seeing this?”
With all the participants showing over the announcer is announced, to no surprise its Mitsuya. Praises are being thrown all around as a standing ovation is given to Mitsuya and his brilliant work. However when Mitsuya steps on the stage to receive his award everyone is confused. Not only is Mitsuya wearing his Toman uniform, with the sash, he has also shaved away the side of his head to reveal his dragon tattoo.
Amongst the confusion Mitsuya gives his greetings and begins to speak of how Takemitchi approached him a couple days ago to fight an old friend. Mitsuya then turns to Takemitchi and asks, “Takemitchi, can I join too?” Before he can even respond Mitsuya loudly yells out that he refuses this award. He then goes and apologizes to his friends and the judges. As the chapter ends Mitsuya nearly quotes a Naruto quote, telling the crowd, “no matter how high the reward is, if you ignore your friend who laughs together and wants to be happy with you, then its lower than trash.”

Release Date
The upcoming chapter of Tokyo Revengers is set for release as usual. Meaning we will be able to see a chapter 239 release officially on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. As of right now, there is no word of the chapter being delayed, however, if anything is released we will make sure to keep this article updated.
