Ken Wakui’s action thriller manga series, Tokyo Revengers will get a 2nd live-action movie. The official announcement comes from Warner Bros Japan’s website. Tokyo Revengers’ 2nd live-action film is scheduled to release in 2023 in Japan. The production and the cast will remain the same as in the first film.
The first live-action Tokyo Revengers film was scheduled to release in Japan in October 2020, but it was postponed to July 2021 due to the pandemic. The series follows the story of a teenage boy who travels back in time to save his girlfriend, who was killed because of an incident related to gang violence. The second season of the Tokyo Revengers anime series is scheduled to release in 2023.
A teaser trailer has been released for the 2nd live-action Tokyo Revengers film on the Warner Bros Japan YouTube channel. The 2nd film will adapt the Bloody Halloween Arc of the manga series.

Tokyo Revengers anime and live-action series are based on the manga, written and drawn by Ken Wakui. He started the anime publication in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. Liden Films studio picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. The first season of the anime premiered in April 2021, and it is available on Crunchyroll to watch.

Takemichi Hanagaki is a freelancer that’s reached the absolute pits of despair in his life. He finds out that the only girlfriend he ever had, in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, had been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after hearing about her death, he’s standing on the station platform and ends up being pushed over onto the tracks by a herd of people. He closes his eyes thinking he’s about to die, but when he opens his eyes back up, he somehow had gone back in time 12 years. Now that he’s back living the best days of his life, Takemichi decides to get revenge on his life.
