From just the battle between huge titans and humans to a complex political drama, Attack on Titan anime have come a long way.
When Attack on Titan started, Armored Titan, Colossal Titan and Female Titan were thought to be the villains of the story but when survey corps found the truth about outside world in the Eren’s father basement, it was clear that it’s not as simple as good vs bad. Reiner, Bertholt and Annie were brainwashed childrens who were on a mission and if they abondoned this mission, their families life will be in danger. They had to do whatever they could to complete the mission and take founding titan back.
In the latest season 4, we see Eren going to the enemy land and doing some horrific things. In anime, generally we see that protagonist is a person who is kind hearted but Eren did the complete opposite. He knew that if he attacked liberio, many innocent lives will be lost and it seems like he does not care anymore. Even his closest friend Mikasa was hurt seeing Eren like that.
Some fans think that Eren is the new villain of Attack on Titan or he is doing what lelouch did, gathering all the humanity against one common enemy to stop them from fighting each other. Although some fans have still some concerns over the animation quality, it is believed that Attack on Titan will become one of the classics of the modern era.
Attack on Titan is written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story starts in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by giant walls due to the Titans, gigantic humanoid beings who devour humans without any reason. Story follows the adventures of Eren Jaeger, his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, whose lives are changed forever after a Colossal Titan breaches the wall of their home town. Vowing revenge against the Titans, Eren and his friends join the Scout Regiment, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans.
