Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku gets a spin-off manga

One of the fans favourite manga series, Love is hard for Otaku ended on July 15 after almost 6 years of serialization. It seems fans won’t have to wait much longer for a spin-off series from the same author.

As reported by Anime News Network, spin-off manga will appear in pixiv’s digital manga service comic Pool. More details about the spin-off story will be announced later by the staff.

Love is hard for Otaku manga began serialization on April 30, 2015. After more than 70 chapters, manga ended on July 16, 2021. Final volume of the series will be released Oct 14. Special edition of the final volume will also include a brand new OVA. New OVA will adopt the story from manga 6th volume, it will be titled “Company Outing”.

When Season 2 Will Be Released?

In April 2018, first season of Love Is Hard For Otaku premiered, which had a total of 11 episodes. For now, there is no announcement for season 2 but we do have upcoming OVA to look forward to. First season is available on Amazon Prime.

Plot

The main characters are Narumi, an office working woman who hides her fujoshi lifestyle, and Hirotaka, a handsome and capable company man who is a game otaku. The two seem perfect for each other, but love is really hard for otaku.
