In a world where zombies are often the antagonists, “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead” flips the script, making the undead apocalypse a playground for its protagonist, Akira Tendo.
This anime, which started premiering on July 9, 2023, has been making waves for its unique take on the zombie genre. But hold onto your seats because the series is about to get even more exciting.
The creators have announced a crossover with another popular zombie-themed anime, “Zombie Land Saga,” in its upcoming episode.

The Crossover We Didn’t Know We Needed
According to a recent tweet from the official Zom 100 Twitter account, the sixth episode will feature characters from “Zombie Land Saga.” Specifically, six members of the idol group Franchouchou will make an appearance. The episode is set to air on August 27, 2023.
An interesting thing to note is that the idol group in Zombieland Saga features seven members, so one member will be missing out on the cameo. However, which idol will not be appearing in the Zom 100 hasn’t been revealed. So fans will have to watch the episode to find out.
Both “Zom 100” and “Zombie Land Saga” share thematic elements around zombies, but they approach the subject matter in unique ways. While “Zom 100” focuses on Akira’s bucket list adventures in a post-apocalyptic world, “Zombie Land Saga” revolves around a group of zombie idols trying to save Saga Prefecture through their performances.
It’s worth noting that episode 6 of “Zom 100” was initially delayed due to unrelated programming. The episode was postponed because of the 2023 World Athletics Championships. It’s now scheduled to air on August 27, 2023, at various times, depending on your location.
For those unfamiliar with “Zom 100,” the series is based on a manga written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. It started its serialization on October 19, 2018, and has been collected into 14 tankobon volumes as of June 2023.
