Thanks to some leaks that dropped on October 5, we have gotten our first look at the new upcoming, Black Clover Movie! Titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King! And on October 6, we have our first official look, courtesy of Netflix.
Black Clover Sword of the Wizard King will have a roadshow in Japan. A roadshow is when a film is released in a limited cinema across the country for a few days. International fans won’t be able to the movie in the Cinema, as Netflix will release the Black Clover film on March 31st, 2023, for worldwide fans.
In a plot that has already been officially confirmed as entirely unique (not canon) and that will focus on extending the existing history surrounding the character of Wizard King, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King will bring together fans of Asta and the company once more next year.
Black Clover, Yuki Tabata is supervising the film, and he looks excited. Tabata says after watching the upcoming film, Fans will say why you didn’t include this story in the manga.
“It looks like the visuals and the special trailer for the Black Clover movie have finally been released. The story of a Wizard King is made into a film. It’s a “Why didn’t you do this in the original (manga)?” story. It will be a movie where you can enjoy large-scale, flashy battles between Asta and his powerful enemies. Now director Tanemura and Studio Pierrot are putting all their efforts into the production”
We will need to maintain our patience while the main story appears to pick back up in season 5, but they will at least make up for it by giving us a movie that, based on the first trailer, is looking excellent.
Multiple Wizard Kings?!
Although this is technically the 2nd time we’ve seen the previous Wizard King, thanks to leaks, this is the first official view of the 27th Wizard King, Conrad Leto! In the trailer, he can be seen using some sort of key magic, indeed something to look forward to!Â
Speaking of exciting magic, we also see the current Wizard King in the trailer, Julius Novachrono! Making us wonder what exactly is going on here. The teaser doesn’t give us anything to even theorize about, but from what we can tell, Asta and Yuno will most definitely play huge parts, alongside the Wizard King we have just been introduced to, Conrad! I’d say it isn’t too far of a reach to assume the sword in the title of the movie could be his…
Whatever the case, I’m sure you all are just as excited as us to finally be watching Black Clover on the screen once more after nearly two years since the show went into an unscheduled hiatus!
