Black Clover Movie Main Trailer Reveals Four Previous Wizard Kings

During the Jump Festa 2023 event, the main trailer for Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King film was presented. The film is scheduled to release on March 31, 2023, on the Netflix platform globally. Despite the fact that it is still an anime adaptation of Yuki Tabata’s manga Black Clover, the story of this feature film is entirely unique and will not follow the manga events.

Black Clover fans have been waiting anxiously to know more about the upcoming Black Clover film. A 30-second trailer feature a glimpse of the film’s theme song titled “Here I stand”, performed by the South Korean band, TREASURE.

Studio Pierrot is in charge of the production. The trailer also features 4 previous wizard kings (technically 3 wizard kings and 1 wizard queen). The following details have been revealed about the previous wizard kings.

Conrad Leto, the previous Wizard King Jester Galandros, a mysterious mage (confirmed to be Wizard King). Princia, feared for her powerful magic, also the 11th Wizard King. Edward Abarlashe, a Former priest who was the 20th Wizard King.

Miyuki Sawashiro, Fumiya Takahashi, and Hochu Otsuka will be joining the previous cast of Black Clover. Houchuu Ootsuka will voice Edward, the twentieth Wizard King.

Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Princia, the eleventh Wizard King. Miyuki is known as the voice behind Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter, Celty from Durarara!!, Bishamon from Noragami, Kirari from Kakergurui, Yuzuki from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun, and Beel from Beelzebub.

Houchuu Ootsuka will voice Edward, the twentieth Wizard King. He’s known for voicing Jiraiya from Naruto, Satou from Aijin, Abuto from Gintama, Tokushirou Tsurumi from Golden Kamuy, and Sakonji Urokodaki from Demon Slayer.

In February 2015, Tabata began publishing the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga was picked up by Studio Pierrot in 2017, for a 170-episode anime adaptation directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and Ayataka Tanemura, with screenplays written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Hatsuo Nara.
