Both the Bleach and Bleach TYBW arc anime adaptations are based on the manga series penned and illustrated by Tite Kubo.

The manga itself is a compilation of 698 individual chapters, bundled into 74 tankōbon volumes.

The original Bleach anime series, which aired from 2004 to 2012, was also the work of Studio Pierrot.

Tite Kubo has indicated that he will incorporate some original scenes not found in the manga.

Bleach has also spawned a spin-off series called Burn the Witch. This side story centers around witches Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole, who operate in the Western Branch of Soul Society in Reverse London, managing dragons.

The manga debuted in 2020 and was followed by a film adaptation produced by Studio Colorido.
