The Boruto manga series has returned after a three-month hiatus, and the comeback chapter has thrilled fans. Following the reveal of the timeskip designs for the main characters, thanks to spoilers, fans were eagerly awaiting the official release, and they were not disappointed.
Manga Plus, an online manga reading platform launched by Shuiehsa in Jan 2019 to provide manga access to worldwide readers, released Boruto chapter 81 on August 20, but many fans experienced difficulty loading the Manga Plus app and website.
The servers struggled to handle the sudden influx of readers, all eager to consume the new chapter simultaneously. Many of the Manga Plus users reported that their app crashed, unable to load the new chapter for a while. Thankfully, the services were back to normal after a short inconvenience.
This is not the first time Boruto has caused the Manga Plus servers to crash. The same issue occurred with Boruto Chapter 51, which featured Naruto’s Baryon Mode.
The timeskip has rekindled the passion of Boruto fans. With Naruto playing a significant role in the story and his life at stake in an alternate dimension, many fans of the original Naruto series have also become interested.
Boruto Part 2 Will Be A Separate Manga
Interestingly, Boruto Part 2, titled “Boruto Two Blue Vortex,” will be released as a separate manga, rather than a continuation of the original Boruto series. This is in contrast to Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, which are both available to read under the name of Naruto. The next chapter will be now called Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 2 instead of Boruto Chapter 82.
Shikamaru has assumed the position of the 8th Hokage following the alleged death of Naruto in the series. Konoha Village believes that Naruto was killed by Boruto, who is now being pursued by the Shinobi world.
The story is at an incredible juncture, and the characters’ evolution after the timeskip is exactly what the Boruto manga needed at this time. The excitement is building as the next chapter will focus on the reunion of Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada after four years. This anticipated reunion comes after the chapter ends with Boruto rescuing Sarada from Code, setting the stage for an amazing fight.
The popularity of the Boruto manga is evident in the Manga Plus rankings. Boruto is already climbing the charts, and within less than 24 hours of its release, the chapter has been read by 200,000 fans. Boruto is currently ranked at number 12 on Manga Plus and is expected to enter the top 10 shortly.
