Finally, you will be able to let your friends use your Crunchyroll account without erasing your watchlist.
While HiDive is removing the multiple profile options from its platform, Crunchyroll on the other hand is doing the opposite and adding the option to have multiple profiles on your account.
The popular streaming platform announced on April 4 that it will be adding a highly requested feature – multiple user profiles. This update will allow premium members to create up to five separate profiles within a single account, each with its own personalized watchlist, recommendations, and avatar.
Watching anime can be a personal experience, and it’s frustrating when your carefully curated watchlist gets mixed up with someone else’s or when you can’t remember which episode you were on because another user watched ahead.
The multiple profile feature solves these problems elegantly. Each user can now freely explore the vast Crunchyroll library without worrying about messing up another user’s watch history or recommendations. This is a game-changer for families, couples, and roommates who share a premium membership.

And multiple profiles are just the start of the upgrades coming to Crunchyroll this month. The company also teased new features like advanced recommendations to help you discover new shows and better watchlist management tools.
All of this adds up to a major level-up for the Crunchyroll user experience. Creating distinct identities within a shared account brings the platform in line with industry giants like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. It’s
The multiple profile feature will begin rolling out to Crunchyroll premium members later this month. In the meantime, anime fans can dream up the perfect avatar and watchlist for their new personalized profile.
