Crunchyroll is changing its premium membership price in almost 100 territories and countries, but this time, instead of increasing the price, Crunchyroll is lowering the subscription cost to offer more value to its users and probably to encourage those anime fans who watch on pirated sites to watch their favourite series legally.
The new premium subscription varies with each country. For example, In the UK, Mega Fan subscriptions will be changed from 7.99 to 5.99 GBP which is a 25% decrease. In Brazil, the Mega Fan subscription will be changed from 32.00 to 19.99 Brazilian Real which is a 37% decrease. In India, Mega Fan subscription price will change from 9.99 USD to 99 Indian Rupees which is an 87.5% decrease. In the United Arab Emirates, Mega Fan subscription price will change from 9.99 USD to 19 United Arab Emirates Dirham, which is a change of 48.5%.
The biggest price decrease we could find was off 88.5% for Pakistan, where the subscription price decreased from 9.99 USD to 1.13 USD.

Crunchyroll became the largest anime library in the world after merging with Funimation. The streaming service started its multi-tier subscription service in 2020. Crunchyroll has already stopped its free, ad-supported viewing service, although anime series that release prior to the spring 2022 season, can still be streamed with ads. Previously, Crunchyroll allowed its free membership holders to watch an anime episode for free after a 1 week’s delay.

What about Australia
Actually for Norway the price is exactly the same as previously. I paid 80 NOK in April 2022 and now is 79 NOK… i would not call that a 25% discount… that is just a sad attempt to get people in.
