Fans in Austria and Germany will have to wait a little longer, with the movie set to premiere on June 25. Finally, German-speaking regions of Switzerland will be able to catch the film starting from June 27.

“Battle of the Garbage Dump” will bring to life the final arc of Haruichi Furudate’s beloved manga series, which follows the intense clashes between teams in the national tournament. The movie’s focal point will be the long-awaited showdown between Karasuno High and Nekoma High, known as the “cats and crows” of the volleyball world.

The previously released trailer offers a glimpse into the fierce rivalry that awaits fans on the silver screen.

For those concerned about any changes in the adaptation, rest assured that the cast and staff for the movie will remain the same as the TV anime series.

The Haikyuu manga series, written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, began its serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in February 2012 and concluded in July 2020, spanning an impressive 45 volumes. The anime adaptation, produced by Production I.G, first aired in April 2014 and quickly gained a massive following.

With four seasons, multiple OVAs, and a total of 85 episodes, the anime series concluded in December 2020, perfectly aligning with the manga’s finale.
