Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242 Spoilers:
Continuing from the previous chapter, the upcoming chapter begins with Kenjaku summoning a Special Grade curse named ‘Akuro Ouohtake’ to fight against Takaba. Out of nowhere, a truck arrives and smashes the curse into bits.
The truck might have been a part of Takaba’s cursed technique. Another imagination takes place; Kenjaku becomes a police officer and arrives to investigate the commotion of the truck. Kenjaku alleges that Takaba was drunk and driving and asked him to get his blood-alcohol level checked.
The blood-alcohol will be checked by blowing air into a bag of goldfish; if it dies, Takaba will be arrested. But, the goldfish was dead prior to their conversations. As soon as their conversation ends, Takaba and Kenjaku become doctors.
Both of them (doctors) try to rescue the fish, but they fail, Takaba becomes depressed, and Kenjaku becomes a nurse. Takaba does not find it funny and begins to yell at Kenjaku. Following, Kenjaku and Takaba play rock-paper-scissors.
Kenjaku has finally realized how Takaba’s cursed technique works. Takaba has quite a peculiar cursed technique, which materializes the user’s imagination forcefully, forces it towards the enemy, and uses it to create a conflict of imagination.
After Kenjaku’s realization, he and Takaba begin to play a quiz regarding the physical structure of matter and atoms. The narrator asks them to choose the correct door by solving a question. Both of them rush towards a door as the answer is easy.
As soon as Takaba is about to rush into the door, he hears someone yelling for help, specifically a cat sitting in the center of the road, which is about to get hit by a taxi. Takaba runs to save the cat, but it turns out it was Kenjaku in disguise, which causes Takaba to get hit by the taxi.
Another imagination begins when Takaba and Kenjaku are at the sea and are playing with each other by throwing water, like little kids. Kenjaku reveals that he has not been this excited in years and is grateful to initiate the Culling Games to meet an individual like Takaba.
Kenjaku realizes that Takaba manipulated his thoughts and manages to land an attack on him. Takaba stops Kenjaku and asks him to drink the ocean water. Meanwhile, Kenjaku is now accumulating damage.
Kenjaku deeply thinks about Takaba’s cursed technique and realizes he cannot win this fight if he does not fulfill Takaba’s utmost desire for comedy. The chapter ends with Kenjaku dressing up for another scenario and challenges Takaba for the final battle.
If you take a deep look at the final scenario, the scene resonates with an old chapter cover featuring Gojo and Geto suited up and standing on a stage before a massive audience. Is Gojo coming back? We will know soon.
No break next week!
