After a riveting journey that captivated fans for over a decade, the fan-adored Shounen anime “Attack on Titan” has finally reached its grand finale.
The series may not have shattered the internet with its initial season, and it certainly faced its share of challenges, including a hasty studio transition. Nevertheless, it has secured its place in the annals of anime as a monumental work of art.
Throughout this harrowing tale, we’ve had to part with many beloved characters. Yet, it was through these departures that others lived to see the end of the conflict.
Here is what happened to every major character of the series post-finale.
Eren Yeager
Eren Yeager was the protagonist of “Attack on Titan,” and part of the leading trio of the series, whose love for his friends drove him to destroy the world.
He was introduced as a pretty naive boy who always cried when things got hard. He did change his demeanor to a mature one, but in the end, he was the same as before.
He started “The Rumbling” and destroyed everything that crossed his path. All of this was for the sake of his friends, as they lived their whole lives in the oppression of other people and the Titans.
Sadly, our protagonist couldn’t make it till the end, as Mikasa decapitated him at the end of the series. He is buried under the tree where he, Mikasa, and Armin used to play when they were little.

Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa Ackermann is part of the leading trio of “Attack on Titan.” She is one of the strongest characters in the series.
She was introduced as a fierce character who was willing to do anything for Eren’s safety because he was the last family she had left in this world and also because she had feelings for him.
She entered the finale episode as the only one who wanted to take Eren alive out of this mess. But she was the one who killed Eren.
Three years after the final battle, Mikasa was seen sitting beside Eren’s grave, as she was happy their friends were coming to visit them.
She keeps visiting Eren afterward with her new family. She also embraces death in the far future due to old age and is buried alongside her red scarf. No links have been revealed to whom she married afterward.

Armin Arlert
Armin Arlert is part of the leading trio of “Attack on Titan.” He became a leader of the Survey Corps, as this post was assigned to him by the former captain, Hange.
He was introduced as a crybaby who never had the potential to be a group leader. Later on, he became the leader who led humans to victory against the Titans.
He inherited the Colossal Titan after he consumed Bertholdt. Armin took the blame for killing Eren so that he could further proceed with talks for establishing peace within the world.
Three years after the final battle, he was appointed as a member of the diplomates, who shall proceed with the talks between Paradis Island and the outside world.
He was convinced that once the people inside the walls see their heroes standing beside the outsiders, they will understand everything.
Levi Ackerman
“Levi Ackermann” is the strongest soldier of humanity and the fan-favorite character of “Attack on Titan.”
He was introduced late in the series as the right-hand of Erwin, the Scout Regiment captain.
During the “War for Paradis” arc, he was severely injured by the Thunder Spear attached to Zeke.
He still participated in the final battle against Eren despite being severely injured. His only aim was to take out his arch-nemesis Zeke. This was the last promise he made to Erwin before he passed away.
After three years of the final battle, we see Levi in a wheelchair, confirming that he can not walk and has weak eyesight. He takes residency in Marley, with Gabi and Falco as his guardians.

Hange Zoe
Hange Zoe is a supporting character of Attack on Titans and the leader of the Survey Corps after Erwin. She has shown a keen interest in Titans since the series started.
She was introduced as a person obsessed with the Titan anatomy and wanted to devote her life to researching these creatures.
She sacrifices herself when the Rumbling comes near, and Floch damages the plane the fighters wanted to board.
She engaged the Titans in a little battle until everyone could escape; she also admired the sight of so many Titans in front of her.
But as she gets too close, the body temperature of these Titans burns her away.
Reiner Braun
Reiner Braun is a supporting character of Attack on Titan and one of the three imposters who invaded Paradis to kidnap Eren.
In the start, Reiner was mentally unstable because of his past trauma, which led to the death of his friend.
He inherited the Armored Titan. His family put a lot of pressure on him to succeed as he was their ticket to a good life in Marley.
After three years of the final battle, he joined the team of diplomates, which Armin created to bring peace between the Eldians and the rest of the world.
He still had romantic feelings for Historia and can be seen sniffing a letter Historia sent to them.
Zeke Yeager
Zeke is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan,” and the person who inherited the Beast Titan. He is from the Marley Kingdom and the arch-nemesis of Levi.
He was introduced as a mysterious Titan who could speak. His mentality is straightforward as he tries his best to achieve his goal of Ethunasia which if succeeded would have taken away the ability of having children from Eldian.
Ethunasia plan would have led to slowly eradicating the race of Eldia entirely. However, Eren betrayed him.
During the battle of Heaven and Earth, after a long discussion with Armin, he exposed his body to Levi as he was part of Eren’s Founding Titan. He didn’t have any will to live.
Levi jumped towards him and killed him, fulfilling the promise he made to Erwin before his death.
Annie Leonhart
Annie is a supporting character in this series and the person who inherited the Female Titan. She was one of the three imposters who invaded the walls to kidnap Eren.
She was introduced as a fed-up girl who had no interest in anything. But as soon as her true identity was revealed, her true colors came out, such as a quick-witted person.
Annie was responsible for killing most of the Levi’s squad.
Armin confessed his feelings for her before the final battle started.
After three years of the final battle, she joined the team of diplomates assigned to form a peace treaty between the Eldians and the Marleys.
It wasn’t confirmed if Armin and Annie were dating or were in a romantic relationship of some sort.

Jean Kirstein
Jean is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” He was part of the Scout Regiment, where he met Eren and his friends.
He has romantic feelings for Mikasa from the start, which were left unanswered till the end of the series. He was a part of the final battle.
Three years after the final fight, he joined the team of diplomates assigned to the missing to establish a peace treaty between Eldians and Marleys.
Although he was assigned such a big post, he was more interested in the fame he would get from it.
Connie Springer
Connie is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” He became friends with Eren and his trio, as he was also a part of the Scout Regiment.
He was best friends with Sasha, the potato girl, and after her death, he became serious. This was very unlikely to his usual behavior as he was most of the time laughing about most stuff.
He was a central part of the final battle with Eren’s Founding Titan.

Pieck Finger
Pieck is a supporting character of “Attack on Titan” and the person who inherited the Cart Titan. She is a resident of the Marley nation.
Her character wasn’t explored much, as she was introduced late in the series. But she was a big part of the final battle with Eren’s Founding Titan.
Three years after the final battle, she joined the diplomats traveling to Eldia to sign a peace treaty.
Falco Grice
Falco is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan,” and the person who inherited the Jaw Titan.
Falco was a crucial part in winning the final battle against Eren, as his Flying Titan came in clutch during a hard time.
He confessed his feelings for Gabi in the final season.
Three years after the final battle, Falco was seen with Gabi helping the people affected by the Rumbling. Nothing was revealed as to whether these two are dating or not.

Historia Reiss
Historia is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” She is revealed as a person with royal blood in the middle of the series.
Because of this, she has to shift from becoming a Scout Regiment member to the Queen of the Walls.
Three years after the final battle, She gets married and has a baby.
She also becomes a part of the Yeagerist’s new regiment created in Eldia. She gave updates to the group of diplomats regarding the status of this new regime.
Onyankopon
Onyankopon is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” He is a Marleyan who has worked under Zeke for quite a while.
He thought of Eldian as an innocent who had not received justice by the Marley race.
He was the pilot of the plan the Eldians used to reach the top of Eren’s Founding Titan.
Three years after the final battle, he helped people affected by the Rumbling. The anime gave more insight into his afterstory, as compared to the manga.
Yelena
Yelena is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” She was Marleyan, who served under Zeke because she agreed with his ideologies.
After Zeke’s euthanasia plan was eradicated, Yelena stopped being involved in most matters.
Three years after the final battle, she joined Oyankopon as both helped the people affected by the Rumbling. Her status after the final battle wasn’t revealed in the manga series.
Gabi Braun
Gabi is a supporting character in “Attack on Titan.” She was an Eldian who lived in the Marley nation.
Her character was that of an annoying child who always got what she wanted. She killed Sasha during the “Marley” arc, after which she became one of the most disliked characters.
She was a significant part of the final battle as she helped release Armin from the Okapi Titan.
Three years after the final battle, she was seen with Falco as they planted crops to help the people affected by the Rumbling.
It is believed that Falco and Gabi became the guardian of Levi Ackerman and continued living in Marley.
