He asks Haibara if it is hard to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer, to which he replies that it might be challenging, but he will keep trying his best. They are then interrupted by Yuki Tsukumo, one of the special-grade sorcerers. She fills Geto’s head with strange thoughts regarding killing humans.
This causes a spark in Geto as he thinks his beliefs are lacking from the start. A few days later, Nanami and Haibara returned from a mission, but Haibara died because of a cursed spirit. Namami is emotional, but Geto can’t do anything.
Geto is then sent to an island where he has to find the cause of the curse affecting the civilians. Here, Geto snaps because humans are mistreating the sorcerers; he kills the whole village and his parents not to make an exception.
