Who is Kenjaku (the Brain)?

Who is Kenjaku

With the recent adaptation of the Shibuya Incident arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, the story of the anime series has become more prominent and exhilarating for the viewers.

The main highlight of the arc is the fights, but the sudden twist of pseudo-Geto revealing his brain after he sealed Gojo with the help of the prison realm caught everyone off guard.

Apart from the incredible display of everyone’s strength in the anime, it was also revealed that Kenjaku (the brain inside Geto) is the individual who has been pulling the strings all this time.

Kenjaku is an ancient curse user who has been alive for thousands of years with the help of his innate technique that allows him to shift his brain from one body to another, allowing him the ability of borderline invincibility.

Although Kenjaku has shifted from one host to another, the most significant person that Kenjaku got ahold of was the mother of our protagonist, Kaori Itadori.

Thanks to the signature marks on his victim’s forehead, it was confirmed that he once took control of Yuuji’s mother, and with Jin Itadori, they gave birth to the cursed womb, Yuuji Itadori.

With his unlimited ability of cursed techniques and Jujutsu, Kenjaku is known as an immaculate manipulator willing to do anything to achieve his goals. Until he achieves his main goal, Kenjaku consistently jumps from one body to another. After his previous body is no longer functional.

Hence, being the mastermind behind everything, Kenjaku is now deemed Jujutsu Kasen’s main antagonist.

How Powerful Is Kenjaku (Pseudo-Geto)?

Who is Kenjaku

As mentioned before, the most potent and innate ability of Kenjaku is to transfer his brain from one body to another.

This gives him an extreme and borderline ability to stay invincible unless he wants to stop the transferring process himself.

It is scary to think about the amount of knowledge Kenjaku possesses about cursed energies.

However, Kenjaku’s innate ability is not limited to transferring from one host to another. After attaining a new host, he can retrieve their memories, cursed techniques, and domain expansions, making him a significant threat to everyone.

As he can receive his host’s cursed techniques, with the help of his massive knowledge, he can study the curses thoroughly and enhance them by a large margin.

The worst part is that he can store the previous hosts’ cursed techniques, allowing him to use almost any type of cursed technique in the blink of an eye.

What Does Kenjaku Want? (Spoilers)

(From Left To Right) Kenjaku, The Cursed Energy Entity, and Master Tengen.

After Kenjaku seals off Gojo Satoru in the Shibuya Incident arc, he begins to move forward with his plans as the most significant obstacle stopping him has been removed, thanks to the Prison Realm’s Front Gate.

As soon as the Shibuya incident concludes, Kenjaku begins initiating the Culling Games arc. Now, what are the Cullng Games? To make another star-plasma vessel to help Kenjaku’s long-lost friend, Tengen, retake a human form.

If you are unfamiliar, the last star-plasma vessel was Riko Amane, whose life was taken by Toji Fushiguro.

Master Tengen, the old friend of Kenjaku, can only receive a human form with the help of a star-plasma vessel, and to help his friend, he is hosting the Culling Games to preserve the cursed energies of every user in Japan.

However, it was later revealed that Culling Games was just an initial plan of Kenjaku, and his main plan is much more menacing and villainous.

In chapter 202 of the series, it was revealed that Kenjaku was planning to put all of the cursed energies into a single place and create a single entity.

But a question arises: Why would Kenjaku go this far to cause chaos for everyone?

Who is Kenjaku

After revealing his primary motive, Choso asked Kenjaku why he wanted to do it and put everyone’s life in danger.

To that, Kenjaku replies, “For fun.” Despite his reply, Kenjaku once told Tsukumo that preserving cursed energy is essential for humanity’s future. Witnessing and surviving millenniums of years, he sees Earth as a cursed planet.

As of now, it is only confirmed that Kenjaku wants to end humanity just for fun, which can end his thirst for bloodshed.

There is still much to be revealed about Kenjaku, and his central motive remains unclear. It is unbelievable that Kenjaku wants to do everything for ‘fun,’ there might be something he is hiding, but take this with a grain of salt.

Here is everything you need to know about the series’ primary antagonist, Kenjaku. Although he has played a vital role in the whole story, he still has not gotten enough screen time.

With Gojo dying in chapter 236 of the manga, the story will progress much faster now!
