The first two episodes of KonoSuba season 3 have been made available on torrent sites days before their official premiere on Crunchyroll.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Season 3, one of the most highly anticipated anime series of the Spring 2024 season, has fallen victim to a series of leaks.
Episode 1 of KonoSuba Season 3 was set to release on April 10, but it appeared on piracy platforms as early as March 29. Just one week later, Episode 2 has also been leaked, much to the dismay of fans.
KonoSuba is not the only series affected by this trend.
Five other anime shows slated for the Spring 2024 season have had their first episodes leaked online, including As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World, Hibike! Euphonium Season 3, Unnamed Memory, Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers, and Astro Note.
Reports suggest that the source of these leaks may be traced back to advanced screenings held at the Puerto Rico Comic Con 2024, where all the affected series were listed as part of the event’s premiere lineup.
However, Crunchyroll has not officially confirmed or addressed the situation, leaving fans wondering if an investigation into the leaks’ origin is underway.
The impact of these leaks extends beyond the disappointment felt by fans who are waiting to watch the new episodes.
Anime producers may suffer financial losses due to decreased viewership, and the hype surrounding the series could be diminished as some fans will have already watched the episodes before their official release.
It remains uncertain whether Episode 3 of KonoSuba Season 3 will be leaked early as well. If the Puerto Rico Comic Con screenings are indeed the source of the leaks, it is unlikely, as only the first two episodes were listed for the event.
However, if the leaks are a result of a security breach within Crunchyroll’s servers, the possibility of Episode 3 being leaked cannot be ruled out.

The leaks may also have consequences for future Comic Con events, as Crunchyroll and other anime producers may be hesitant to allow early premieres of their content, fearing potential security breaches and revenue loss.
It is worth noting that KonoSuba Season 3 has been highly anticipated by fans, as the series is returning after a nearly 7-year hiatus since the conclusion of its second season in January 2017.
To gain further insight into the situation, Anime Senpai reached out to Crunchyroll for comment on the leaks. However, at the time of publication, Crunchyroll has not yet responded to our inquiry.
