Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, currently one of the most notable Manhwa, is reportedly on the path to getting a live-action adaptation, according to some trusted sources.
This Manhwa, converted from a web novel bearing the same name by the author UMI, features the handiwork of an artist known only by the pseudonym Sleepy-C.
Omniscient Reader Viewpoint is about a web novel enthusiast named Dok Ja Kim, who suddenly finds himself in the world of a web novel he recently read named “Three Ways to Survive The Apocalypse.” The series served as a secret personal space for Dok Ja as he was caught up with the series for ten years.
Dok Ja Kim messaged the author to appreciate his hard work. Suddenly, everything around Dok Ja started to change.
Dok Ja Kim finds out that the world he used to live in has instantly turned into a world full of monsters and mysteries. As the world changes, Dok Ja, now clueless, meets many new characters and personalities in the new world.
Dok Ja quickly discovers his hidden ability in this new world, “Readers Point,” which allows him to read his simple enemy’s emotions and movements. Thus begins the search behind the mystery of this unknown world.
The web novel now has two adaptations, thanks to the upcoming movie and the popular Manwha.

What We Know So Far About The Live Action
Exactly two years prior, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint teased fans with the prospect of an adaptation. However, the ambiguity left everyone guessing – would it be animated or live-action?
After a few suspense-filled days following the announcement, it was verified that the adaptation would indeed be live-action.
On May 3, 2023, multiple media outlets circulated reports about the potential involvement of high-profile actors in the live-action series. Confirmations came in from Ahn HyoSeop and Lee Minho agencies that they were currently considering an offer.
Ahn Hyo Seop As Main Protagonist, Dok Ja Kim
Ahn Hyo Seop, a South Korean-Canadian actor, is the frontrunner for the role of Dok Ja Kim, thanks to his remarkable acting prowess and fan base. His standout performance can be seen in the TV Show ‘Business Proposal,’ available on Netflix.
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is set to be Ahn Hyo Seop’s first foray into the world of the big screen.
Lee Min Ho As Yoo Joong Hyuk
Lee Min Ho, renowned for his performances in various TV Shows and films, is best recognized for his roles in ‘City Hunter The Movie’ (2011) and the ‘Pachinko TV Series,’ currently streaming on Netflix.
Chae Soo Bin As Yoo Sangah
According to Spotify’s news coverage, Chae Soo Bin is being considered for the role of Yoo Sangah. Chae Soo Bin is known for her main role in “I am not a Robot (2017).” Nonetheless, it’s worth noting that the final casting for all the above roles remains unconfirmed.
Offers have been extended to these actors for the live-action adaptation, but their agencies are still reviewing the proposals.
Should the agencies accept these roles, it would assemble an incredibly talented cast for the live-action adaptation of the Manhwa.
The live-action adaptation will be brought to life by the brilliant director Kim Byun Woo, with Realies Pictures handling the production. The movie has been allocated an estimated budget of 20 billion Korean Won (roughly 15 million dollars).
