One Piece Live Action First Teaser Trailer Released By Netflix

For those who have been desperately waiting for any new update on One Piece’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series, One Piece, it’s a lucky day for you.

During the streaming service’s annual Tudum event, fans got to see the first teaser trailer of One Piece live-action series, which is set to release later this year.

The teaser reveals live-action version of Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Buggy Sama. The trailer also confirmed that One Piece live-action will start streaming on August 31st, 2023.

One Piece live action is estimated to have total of 10 episodes. The first season will cover story of Recruiting Zoro (as seen in the trailer), Sanji, Nami, and Usopp. The first season will most probably end with Luffy’s fight with Arlong (the first big villain that Luffy faces). The title of the first episode will be Romance Dawn.

There were some rumors that Netflix’s One Piece live-action test screening had terribly flopped; however, the rumours were quickly debunked. The early response to the trailer from the One Piece fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

One Piece manga creator, Eiichiro Oda is highly involved in the live-action adaptation. Oda has stated that he has been working with Netflix and Tomorrows Studios for some time now, and he thinks that the live action is the last chance to bring One Piece series to the world.

In case you are not aware with the One Piece series, it tells the story of a young boy named Luffy who wants to be the King of Pirates. Luffy has the ability of rubber as he can stretch his arms and legs just like rubber. Luffy is joined by many other crewmates who have their own goals to fulfill.

One Piece manga has currently more than 1000 chapters published and the anime adaptation also has more than 1000 episodes. The manga series is currently in the final saga according to the creator.
