Yusuke Murata appears to be increasingly involved in projects outside of “One Punch Man.” The acclaimed manga artist is not only working on his own original anime but also developing a one-shot anime for his previous manga series.

Murata dropped the news on his Twitter, sharing a sneak peek of this forthcoming project, the “BRAIN×BRAVE” one-shot. Though it features no audio or sound effects, the clip was enough to get the fanbase buzzing.

The Tweet by Yusuke Murata translates to:

“Eyeshield 21” I’m making a special announcement animation for the 21st anniversary. The sound and effects are not included yet, but they are up once.

Details of the release are under wraps, but anticipation is already brewing among the fans. Eyeshield 21 manga started serialization in July 2002. Which means release date is not that far.

Murata in another Tweet, confirmed that as soon as the schedule is confirmed, the animation clip will be uploaded again with sound effects and voice, on his Twitter.

The one-shot anime will be animated by Murata’s in-house studio “Village Studio”.

The story of “Eyeshield 21” is about the journey of Sena Kobayakawa, a shy and timid youngster whose life takes a thrilling turn when his outstanding speed is discovered.

Coerced into the school’s American football team by the enigmatic Hiruma, Sena dons the alias ‘Eyeshield 21’ and dives headfirst into the adrenaline-charged world of American football.

Since its first run in Shonen Jump back in 2002, “Eyeshield 21” went on to amass a loyal following, enough to score a TV anime adaptation that spanned from 2005 to 2008. The series, brought to life by Studio Gallop, was a runaway hit, earning a place in Crunchyroll’s prestigious library.
