Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 Reveals Premiere Date, New Cast and Key Visual

The cosmic and exciting battle between the Gods and humans that will determine the fate of humanity in Record of Ragnarok will finally resume. The upcoming series will also introduce more powerful representatives of both parties.

On May 24 (Wednesday), the official Twitter account of the series posted a third key visual featuring the awaited battle between two Gods, Budda, and Zerofuku.

The post also revealed new visuals for Hades, Zerofuku, and Beelzebub, who will be joining the God’s party for the upcoming season.

According to the official Twitter account post, Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 will debut globally via Netflix on July 12, 2023.

Season one, part two of the series, ended with a major cling hanger with Buddha standing up for humanity’s sake. Thus, fans will cheer because the well-loved God, Buddha, will finally represent the oppositional side.

New Cast

They have also officially unveiled the new cast members who will be joining the upcoming season and the voices behind them.

Hades will be voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu behind Kizaru of One Piece. Daisuke Namikawa, who voiced popular characters such as Kazehaya (Kimi Ni Todoke), Hisoka (Hunter x Hunter), and Oikawa (Haikyuu!!), will be voicing Beelzebub.

Lastly, another representative of the Gods, Papiyas, will be voiced by Tetsu Inada, popularly known for the character Endeavor of My Hero Academia.

While a new promotional video or the musical theme of the series has yet to be released, fans can expect more information about the Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 to be announced as its premiere date gets closer.

Who Will Animate the S2 Part 2?

The series’ previous seasons have received heavy criticism from fans because of the inconsistent animation affecting the fight scenes significantly.

Many fans argued that the animation felt like they were watching a slideshow anime. This disappointed a lot of fans as they expected more. However, the animation they got was entirely inappropriate for the series.

Hence, to ensure fans are satisfied with the upcoming season, Studio Graphinica also assigned Yumeta Company to be in charge of the animation.

About Record of Ragnarok

Record of Ragnarok follows the story of 13 battles between humanity and the Gods. With the Gods fed up with giving humanity another chance for survival, they decided to extinct them. However, Brünnhilde, the eldest Valkyrian, suggested having a tournament that would decide the fate of humanity.

According to the rules of the Ragnarok, the first party who gains seven victories out of the 13 battles will be the champion. If God’s party wins, then humanity will be banished. If not, then humans will continue to live.

Though it may seem impossible for humans to win against the mighty Gods, Brünnhilde is confident in winning againts the Gods. She has confidently chosen 13 humans with God-like strengths, enabling them to stand before their creators.

Therefore, with the upcoming season, fans will certainly see more powerful characters on the battlefield. They will also witness more thrilling actions that each party is determined to make in order to win against their opponent.
