Rent A Girlfriend Author To Start A New RomCom Manga

Reiji Miyajima will start a new manga romcom manga series titled “Shiunji-ka no Kodomo-tachi (Children of the Shiunji Family)” in Hakusensha ‘s Young Animal magazine on February 25.

The story is about the romance between seven siblings. This will be a 2nd manga series from Reiji Miyajima, who is also the author of Rent A Girlfriend manga. This doesn’t mean that Rent A Girlfirnd manga is ending. In a statement, it was revealed that both manga series will be published side by side.

Synopsis: A splendid and luxurious mansion in a privileged place in Tokyo. There live the seven children of the Shiunji family, who are immensely beautiful. Arata, the eldest son, asks his younger sister Shion for advice on how to get a girlfriend, something he has never had…

Rent A Girlfriend was recently in a controversy where some fans felt that the MC character development was destroyed by the author. In chapter 218 of the manga, Kazuya imagines a NTR scenario involving Mizuru Chizuhara.

Reiji Miyajima started the Rent A Girlfriend manga in July 2017 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. An anime adaptation is produced by TMS Entertaiment who released the first season in July 2020. The 2nd season is scheduled for July 2022. Here is the synopsis of the series:

Kazuya Kinoshita is a 20-year-old college student who has a wonderful girlfriend: the brilliant Mami Nanami. But suddenly, not anymore. Without warning, Mami breaks up with him, leaving him heartbroken and lonely. Seeking to ease his pain, he hires a girlfriend for hire through an online app. His partner is Chizuru Mizuhara, who through her incomparable beauty and cute behavior, manages to win Kazuya’s affection.
