Antares vs Sung Jin-Woo is finally coming. Here is the spoilers and raw scans for Solo Leveling chapter 173.
Chpater 172 Recap
The most recent chapter of Solo Leveling put a lot of things into motion for this upcoming chapter. So before we jump into the spoilers and predictions for chapter 173 let’s first do a recap of 172.
As mentioned before this chapter set up a lot of things for the current arc of Solo Leveling. After seeing a news broadcast of how bad things are, we cut to Adam White, branch chief of the Federal Bureau of Hunters Asian HQ. He watches the carnage going down, whilst praying for a miracle. And he gets one, as we cut to Sung Jin-Woo, continuing his plan from chapter 171, killing monsters and adding them to his dead shadow army.
The dragon monarch notices this and comments how the shadow monarch is getting stronger by the minute. He also mentions how he cannot currently locate the shadow army. Creating a plan the dragon monarch sends the monarch of monstrous humanoids, to attack SJW. He also tells the monarch of transfiguration to stay by him and create an ambush for the shadow army.
However, the monarch of monstrous humanoids is quickly intervened by the Scavenger Guild’s Thomas Andre. When he notices it’s just the human he had beat down before the hideous monarch relaxes. Only to see the entire shadow army emerge from Thomas’s shadow. The monarch immediately tries to contact Antares, the dragon monarch, but he realizes he can’t due to Tusk’s magic. This angers the monarch of monstrous humanoids, as he screams out, these are human tactics. He continues on to say, that human has no right to be a monarch. Something that deeply angers Beru, as he steps forward and the two prepare to fight.
This chapter ends on the steepest of cliffhangers. Right as Sung Jin-Woo approaches Antares, monarch of dragons.
Chapter 173 Spoilers
Spoilers for the upcoming chapter are currently not out. The raws are expected to release around an hour or two before the official release of the English translations.
Although the leaks aren’t yet out, I believe it Is a fair prediction to say that we will see two fights go down next chapter. Beru vs the monarch of monstrous humanoids. And the fight everyone’s been waiting for, Sung Jin-Woo vs Antares. The monarch of shadows vs the monarch of dragons.
We might just get a small tease of that fight, as the Beru fight will most likely be the forefront for this upcoming chapter. We may also get an update of what’s going on with those hunters who were in China, seeing as how we haven’t heard from them for a couple of chapters.

Regarding the release date for this chapter. Chapter 173 is expected to release, Thursday, November 12th. At the time of writing this article, D&C Webtoon hasn’t announced any delays to this chapter, so we can assume it will release without issue.
