The official Twitter account of Spy x Family anime adaptation has released a new trailer for the 2nd cour of the anime, which is scheduled to release on October 1. The new opening song can also be heard in the trailer’s background. BUMP OF CHICKEN rock band has sung the 2nd opening theme song, titled “Souvenir”.
As seen in the new trailer, things are finally getting serious for the Forger family, so fans can expect more action alongside comedy and romance. The story will center on Loid and Sylvia tracking the terrorist in order to prevent terrorist bombings. According to the Blu-ray and DVD listings on the official anime website, the second cour of Spy x Family will consist of 13 episodes.
The anime series is produced by Studio CloverWorks and Wit. Spy x Family first cour premiered on April 9, 2022, and the series will return for the 2nd cour on Oct 1. The anime series is based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga of the same name. The manga first appeared on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + website in March 2019.
The series tells the tale of Loid Forger, a spy who must create a fictitious family in order for his mission to succeed. However, he is unaware that his chosen wife is a secret assassin and that his adopted child, Anya, is a mind reader.
The first half of Spy x Family was adapted till manga chapter 17. So, if you can’t wait any longer, begin reading from chapter 18. There are already 66+ manga chapters available, so there is enough content to enjoy. Remember that the manga series only issued one chapter per month.
