During the Jump Festa 2023 event, it was announced that Spy x Family will be getting a season 2 and a movie, both set to release in 2023. Season 2 of Spy x Family will follow the anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga, but the upcoming movie will be a completely original story, which will be supervised by the manga’s author.
The first poster for the franchise’s feature film, created by author Tatsuya Endo himself, was also released. The key visual features Loid Forger, Yor Forger, Anya Forger, and Bond boarding a small aircraft. More information will be released soon.
Tatsuya Endo expressed his surprise at seeing his characters everywhere in a message to supporters. Takuya Eguchi (Twilight voice actor), Saori Hayami (Yor), Atsumi Tanizaki (Anya), and Kenshiro Matsuda (Bond) attended the Jump Festa ’23 stage. Spy x Family currently have three projects set to release in 2023: Season 2, an original movie, and a musical play. Musical Play previously announced that there will be 4 child actors that will portray Anya Forger.
Tatsuya Endo began publishing the manga in Shonen Jump Plus in March 2019. Wit Studios and CloverWorks picked up the manga for an anime adaptation and the first season was released in two parts. The first part aired in the spring 2022 (April-June) season, and the second part aired in fall 2022 (October-December).

It shouldn’t be a surprise to fans that Spy x Family got a season 2 announcement that much earlier. However, a movie announcement has been a welcoming surprise for many.
