The Misfit of Demon King Academy Protagonist New Voice Actor Announced

Shu’s adventure-fantasy series, The Misfit of Demon King Academy protagonist Anos Voldigoad new voice actor has been announced.

Yuichiro Umehara will be voicing Anos Voldigoad in season 2 and onwards. He is known for voicing Goblin Slayer, Seiya (Cautious Hero), and Mars (Black Clover).

Anos Voldigoad was previously voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who is currently on hiatus following a scandal involving anime singer LiSA. On Dec 18, the production committee of “The Misfit of Demon King Academy” announced on the official website, that Tatsuhisa Suzuki will be stepping down from his role as Anos Voldigoad.

Season 2 of The Misfit of Demon King Academy is already announced which will be released in 2 parts (2 cours). The release date for the anime has not been announced yet.

The anime series is based on a light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. The anime first season came out in July 2020, produced by Silver Link. The series also received a manga adaptation from July 2018 to July 2021, however, the manga was cancelled due to manga artist sudden illness.

Synopsis

The story follows the demon king, Anos Voldigoad who sacrificed his life for peace in his world. Anos gets reincarnated 2000 years later, and finds out that royal demons (born with Anos’s blood) now harshly rule over the lower class demons and humans. Finding out that his sacrifice for peace resulted in nothing, he decides to reclaim his title as a demon king. But first he will have to graduate the demon king academy where he is considered a misfit.
