Uncle From Another World Episode 5 Delayed For 2 Weeks

Comedy-fantasy anime series Uncle from another world or “Isekai Ojisan” episode 5 has been delayed for two weeks.

The official website of the anime adaptation announced that the fifth episode of Uncle from Another World would be released on August 17, which was previously scheduled to release on August 3. The main reason behind this delay is the rapid increase of Covid-19 cases in the facility of Atelier Pontdarc studios, which is in charge of animating Uncle from another world anime series.

The first two episodes of “Uncle from another” world will be rebroadcasted on August 3 and August 10, 2022. The official anime website released a schedule for the next five weeks:

  • Wednesday, August 10, 2022, * Episode 2 rebroadcast
  • August 17, 2022 (Wednesday) Episode 5 is scheduled to be broadcast
  • August 24, 2022 (Wednesday) Episode 6 is scheduled to be broadcast
  • August 31, 2022 (Wednesday) Episode 7 is scheduled to be broadcast

Netflix is streaming Uncle from another world anime globally with a 2-week delay from the Japanese broadcast. The streaming giant has not announced a delay on their platform, this would mean that Isekai Ojisan anime will be broadcasted in Japan and on Netflix simultaneously. This will be the first time that Netflix streamed an anime without delay from the Japanese broadcast.

Uncle from another world anime series is based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Hotondoshindeiru. The series tells the story of a middle-aged man who wakes up from a coma after 17 years. As it turns out, he was sent to another world after the accident. As it turns out, he knows nothing about modern-day Japan. His nephew, Takafumi Takaoka, who is a college student takes it upon himself to help the uncle adjust to this fast pace world.

Isekai Ojisan anime series will have 13 episodes. Shigeki Kawai is directing the anime at Atelier Pontdarc studios. The character design is done by Kenta Ihara (who also worked on Death Parade, Vinland Saga, Zankyou no Terror).
