Classroom of the Elite season 2 is at its peak right now. With episode 12 of COTE has finally released on Crunchyroll, and now fans are wondering when we are going to see more of Ayanokoji’s character. We have double good news for the COTE fans.
The first good news is that Classroom of the Elite season 2 is not just over yet. Usually, a seasonal anime series has 12 episodes, but COTE fans are lucky that the Ayanokoji will be back in action for one more episode. Classroom of the Elite season 2 episode 13 will be released on September 26, 2022.
Will there be Classroom of the Elite season 3? The anime production company, Kodakawa, has officially confirmed that Classroom of the Elite season 3 is in production. In fact, the season 3 announcement was made alongside season 2 back in March 2022.
Since season 3 of COTE is already in production, fans will not have to wait much longer. Classroom of the Elite season 3 is scheduled to release in 2023. The exact release date is yet to be announced, but more information on season 3 is expected to be released after the broadcast of COTE season 2 episode 13.
Classroom of the Elite season 2 is rated better than season 1. On IMDb, season 2 is rated 7.7/10, while on MyAnimeList, the second season has scored 8.1/10.
COTE anime is based on the light novels of the same name, written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. Kinugasa began publishing the manga in May 2015, ending in September 2019. A sequel light novels titled “Classroom of the Elite year 2” started publication on Jan 2020.
Lerche studio picked up the light novels for an anime adaptation, and the first season aired in 2017. The second season of COTE began in July 2022, having a total of 13 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime series to North American fans.
