Black Clover Chapter 339 Spoilers: The True Use of Ki!

The latest chapter of Black Clover is just around the corner, and you know what that means! It’s time for some leaks! So far the chapter looks to be an exciting training chapter that shows just how Asta will reach the next level of Ki usage!

Chapter 338 Recap

Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 339, let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the latest chapter! Chapter 338, titled, “The Details of Journeying Through Foreign Land” starts off with the Shogun, Ryuudou Ryuuya (revealed to be Yami’s childhood friend), reassuring Asta that Lucius can’t reach him here and answering a few questions.

After chatting casually for a while and being scolded by what seems to be Ryuuya’s assistant or second in command, the trio decides to go on a short sightseeing tour.

Though amazed by what he sees and how different it is, Asta’s shock and awe are cut short when a group of bandits burst through a wall, stirring up trouble.

Immediately Asta looks to jump in but is surprised to see Ryuudou already at the scene with Ichika, the Shogun’s assistant stepping in! Presumably using his eye, Ryuudou foresaw the attack and leapt forward to save some civilians, however, shockingly when going to fight off the bandits the Shogun apologizes telling them he doesn’t actually have any sorcery powers.

Instead, Ichika jumps forward to fight, something that surprises Asta. But perhaps what surprises him further is that this Ichika defeats all four bandits with one attack and one that seems to have used dark magic or, as it is called in this country sorcery.

It’s after the bandit’s defeat that two crucial things are revealed. The first is that Ichika’s Ki spikes suddenly during her attack, something that shouldn’t be possible and obviously amazes Asta! But even more shocking is the fact that Ichika is Captain Yami’s kid sister!

Not only that, but Yami is the family’s last name! Leaving us to wonder did Yami, or as we now know him Sukehiro, purposefully give his last name or if was it a mix-up between cultures that the captain never bothered to fix. Regardless it gives us something to think about whilst we wait for the now delayed chapter!

Chapter 339 Spoilers

Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 339. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out, so there are confirmed spoilers below; you have been warned.

Tired of the outsiders’ constant screaming and endless energy, Ichika grabs the knight’s head, just as Yami has done many times. Basically, telling him that she doesn’t care for her brother. As these two go back and forth, Ryuuya realizes that they’ve attracted a crowd and pulls them away to their next destination. The recovery house, where Asta reunited with a now completely healed Liebe. 

With everyone back together again, the group sits down for a shared meal. However, the moment is ruined once Asta brings up Lucius and those in the Clover Kingdom. While he panics about his friends and family, Ryuuya tells him that even if he went back, the way he is currently, he wouldn’t be of much help. When that doesn’t phase the young Wizard Ichika steps in, slapping him across the face!

The slap accompanied by a brief speech quickly brings Asta back to his senses. Following this, the group steps outside into what looks to be a bamboo forest, where Ichika demonstrates her technique to Asta. Gathering what seems to be a mix of ki and dark magic into her body, then directing it to her arm Ichika performs a precise ki strike right through a piece of bamboo!

Asta attempts to follow her demonstrations by manipulating his own Anti-Magic, successfully slashing a ki strike of his own, through the bamboo stick. However, his slash is much rougher, and almost appears to burn through the stick!

As the chapter ends, we see Asta smiling ear to ear while he thanks Ichika. Due to her, he can still grow even stronger! In typical Asta fashion he thanks his new Land of Sun allies with yells full of excitement, telling them his training is counting on them! 

Release Date

After being delayed last week, Black Clover 339 is currently expected to release Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of Black Clover will most likely stick to schedule and release as usual.
