The series tells the story of a boy name Denji, who just wants to live a quite happy life with a woman he loves. However, he is forced to kill devils (to pay his debts) using his pet devil named Pochita. Due to some unfortunate events, Denji merges with his pet devil, which gives him the ability to transform his body parts into a Chainsaw.

Chainsaw Man anime series is being directed by Ryu Nakayama (also directed Jujutsu Kaisen episode 19) at Mappa Studio (known for animating Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan). Hiroshi Seko is writing the screenplay. He also worked on Mob Psycho and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kazutaka Sugiyama is in charge of character design (also worked on Mushoku Tensei). Music for the anime series will be produced by Kensuke Ushio (known for A Silent Voice, Devilman Crybaby). Naomi Nakano is in charge of color design (he worked on Sword Art Online).

Chainsaw Man anime series is one of the most anticipated upcoming anime series of 2022. Because of the huge manga success, fans anticipate that the anime series will be as popular as some of the big names in the anime industry like Jujutsu Kaisen, Black Clover, and My Hero Academia.

The creator of the Chainsaw Man franchise assured fans that the anime adaptation wouldn’t be censored, and we would see all the gore scenes from the manga getting animated. The cast of the Chainsaw Man had been previously leaked, which features some big names from the voice acting industry. On August 5, we will get confirmation whether these were true or false.
