Kaguya Sama: Love Is War Is Getting A New Anime Project

After the broadcast of the double length final episode of Kaguya Sama season 3, the official Twitter account of Kaguya Sama: Love Is War anime series announced that a new anime project is in production, however, it was not revealed whether the upcoming project will be a new season or a film. Below is the announcement made by the official Twitter handle:

The twitter post reads: “Kaguya wants to tell you that a new animation production decision has been made”. There is no official released date for the new project of Kaguya Sama: Love Is War.

The good news for Kaguya fans is that no matter what anime project, a film or OVA or a new season gets announced, there is enough manga material to produce two more anime seasons. A total of 267 chapters has been published, and Kaguya Some season 3 adapted till chapter 137 of the manga. So, there is a lot of manga material to work with. In case you can’t wait for season 4, and want to read manga, you can start reading from chapter 138.

Kaguya Sama: Love is war is a romantic-comedy anime series, based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Aka Akasaka. They started the manga serialization in May 2015. Studio A-1 Pictures picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. The first anime season premiered in January 2019, followed by the second season in April 2020. The third season aired in Apirl 2022.

The series creator, Aka Akasaka recently opened up about his experience with online harassment, revealing that he almost quit drawing manga because of the online hate. The second manga of Aka Akasaka (which he started in 2020), Oshi no Kio is getting an anime adaptation as well.
